Minor League Rosters Taking Shape

I don’t think they’re quite official yet, but the rosters of the full-season squads are taking shape. The roster of the Erie SeaWolves only lists 14 players, but the others all list at least 25 guys, so I’m guessing those are more or less set. Click on the images below to view the rosters.

The big name for the Caps this season is Nick Castellanos. I’m pretty excited about having this kid in my backyard this season. I’m hoping to attend several games, and I’ll be sure to write up what I see.

Lakeland Flying Tigers (Adv-A)

Daniel Fields makes his second stint in Lakeland. That’s not really surprising since he was extremely young for the league last year. He’s joined in the outfield by Avisail (Ah-vee-sigh-eel) Garcia so the Flying Tigers are stacked with the prospecty outfielder types. I’m sure JAYRC will weigh in on the Lakeland squad a lot this year.

As I said before, the Erie Roster isn’t full yet, but they do have Jacob Turner, and I think it’s expected that Casey Crosby will land there as well.

Toledo Mudhens (AAA)

The Mudhens obviously have a lot of guys that should see some time in the show this year. Any of Danny Worth, Scott Sizemore, Clete Thomas, Andy Dirks, Al, Alburquerque, Charlie Furbush, Fu-Te Ni, Andy Oliver, Robbie Weinhardt, and Adam Wilk could be expected to make an appearance or two with the Tigers.

The rosters will continue to finalize as the week goes on, so check back and follow these links for the updates.
