Everyone’s eagerly awaiting the 2014 Detroit Tigers to take the field today against Florida Southern College–and tomorrow with the Grapefruit League opener against Atlanta. One of the biggest things we’re looking forward to seeing is if the team’s defense has improved as much as we have hoped.

The sign of good defense is winning a Gold Glove award. No Tiger has won the honor since Placido Polanco nabbed one at second base in his final year in Detroit in 2009.

Without further ado–your question.

Name the Detroit Tiger who owns the franchise record for Gold Gloves with 10.

We’ll provide the answer on Motor City Bengals’ Facebook (facebook.com/motorcitybengals) and Twitter (@MCB_Tigers) pages today at 4 p.m.

Last week, we asked the following question:

Which of following players on the 2006 team DID NOT hit at least 25 homers?

A. Brandon Inge               C. Magglio Ordonez

B. Craig Monroe               D. Marcus Thames

The answer was C. Magglio Ordonez who hit 24 homers in 2006, but had a rather important homer in the ALCS.
