When We Last Met

Detroit visited Citi Field last August and swept the home-standing Mets in a three-game series. The Tigers walloped the Mets by a combined score of 20 to 4, including a pretty great pitchers duel between Max Scherzer and Matt Harvey. Scherzer got the best of Harvey that day, with the Tigers claiming a 3-0 victory, and this also proved to be the last game of the 2013 season for rookie phenom Harvey–who underwent Tommy John surgery shortly after the game.
