A New Look for MCB, Now We Need a Writer or Two

Over the past few months, the suits at FanSided have been working hard to redesign each and every site on the network. Finally, like so many sites had already, Motor City Bengals has received our face lift.

There are quite a few new features now available to us as we try to bring you what we hope to be the number one stop for all things Detroit Tigers. Some of those features you’ll see right away, and some I will tuck away until the time is right to unleash them on all those “other” Tigers blogs. They won’t know what hit ’em.

In addition to the new look, I was hoping to also announce that a couple of new writers had joined the staff. Sadly, I am not able to make such an announcement as of yet. To that end, I am putting out a call for anyone interested in posting once a week or more about the Tigers. Ideally, the contributing writer I am seeking would have a good working knowledge of sabermetrics and be able to analyze the Tigers from that view. I would also be open to other writers, ones more based on traditional statistics like myself.

If you have any interest in joining our team, drop me an email to jparent.mcb@gmail.com, I’ll take a look at some candidates and see if we can add to the roster.

In the meantime, take a look around the new digs. Leave a comment, let me know what features you like or don’t like. I promise I’ll spend quite a bit of time on Monday making the site a bit more personal, until then you guys are left to fend for yourself. I have a house to prep, we have a realtor coming by to list it on Sunday.
