When We Last Met

Justin Verlander(8-7, 4.84 ERA) had a terrible first inning against the LA Dodgers, giving up five runs, but was able to carry on and get lifted by his team and go on to get the win. Verlander is 17-6 with a 3.10 ERA in 215 innings against Kansas City in his career. He last faced the Royals June 16th and was shelled, giving up seven runs on 12 hits in sic innings.
