Detroit Tigers Trade Rumors: David Price?!?!
By Matt Pelc

The Detroit Tigers trade rumors has taken a “Price-y” turn.
Twitter chatter has the team linked with the Tampa Bay Rays’ (soon-to-be free agent) star pitcher.
David Price's name has surfaced in talks between Rays and Tigers, sources say. Not clear if there's been progress toward deal.

The Oakland Athletics paid a very steep price in bringing Jon Lester over from the Red Sox by dealing Yoenis Cespedes, so you have to imagine the Tigers would also have to offer quite a pleasing package for the former Cy Young winner.
One piece that could be in play? Today’s starting pitcher.
For Tigers to have realistic chance at landing David Price, I believe Drew Smyly would need to be part of the offer.

This one seems a little far fetched, but the Tigers may be looking to answer Oakland’s moves today. Reports also have the Dodgers, Mariners, and Pirates involved in Price.
