When We Last Met
The Detroit Tigers Last dropped three of four to Cleveland at home in July, including both games of a double header. After Cleveland took two from Kansas City earlier this week, the Tigers are just a half game back of the Royals and are looking to make up ground against the Indians.
Pitching Matchup
David Price(12-10, 3.32 ERA) is coming off the worst start of his career, a two inning outing which saw him give up eight runs on twelve hits and one walk. It was the shortest outing of his career. Price definitely looks to bounce back in this outing against the Indians and he’s had success against the Indians in his career with a 5-1 record and a 3.12 ERA in 43.1 innings.
Corey Kluber(13-8, 2.52 ERA) last started against the White Sox and went six and a third innings and gave up three runs on nine hits. Kluber is 2-4 with a 4.48ERA in his career against the Detroit Tigers.
