According to multiple reports, including one by Chris Cotillo of SB Nation, Torri Hunter is in contract negotiations with the Texas Rangers, though no agreement has been reached as of yet.

Judging by numerous reports, the Rangers appear to be the most serious, though they are not the only team in pursuit of the five-time All Star. The Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals, Minnesota Twins, and quite possibly the Seattle Mariners, are all in the mix for the 39-year-old veteran.

After spending the past two seasons with the Detroit Tigers, Detroit GM David Dombrowski expressed the team would not be resigning Hunter. In 2014, Hunter hit .286, with 17 HR and 83 RBI in 142 games.
