The Detroit Tigers will try to rebound from their split squad game defeats on Saturday. Detroit lost to Philadelphia, 5-4, and to the New York Yankees, 4-1.

When We Last Met

The Tigers did not face the Marlins during the regular season last year but did play them in spring training. Miami won two of the three contests last March by a combined score of, 13-9.

Alfredo Simon will start for the Tigers and will try to continue his hot spring. Simon has pitched five innings in two outings, having given up just two hits and no runs. He has also struck out three and walked one.

Dan Haren is going to start for the Marlins. He is 5-4 with a 3.65 ERA in 12 career regular season starts versus the Tigers.
