DIVISIONAL AND WILD-CARD WINNERS

There are a couple constants here including love for the upstart Seattle Mariners in the AL West. Every staff member has them either winning the division or earning a wild-card spot.

The Cardinals and Pirates dominate the NL Central while the Dodgers and Nationals are clean sweeps in their respective divisional race. Not much love for the defending champs, but they do sneak into the playoffs in many of our wild-card picks, however the Giants are on the odd year rule (winning a World Series in the even years of 2010, 2012 and 2014 while missing the playoffs in each odd year).

Meanwhile, the AL East remains a tough call as four teams are represented among the eight participants.
