It’s hard to believe, but we are passed the mid-point in June and are less than a week away from the first day of summer.

There is still plenty of time for fantasy baseball owners to improve their rosters, but there are also plenty of disappointments this year. Last week, we ranked the most disappointing hitters, so this week, we move to the mound.

Here are the five most disappointing pitchers in fantasy baseball through the middle of June:

Jeff Samardzija, Chicago White Sox

With his 65.5 ADP, Samardzija is in the argument for most disappointing fantasy pitchers in 2015. He has managed a .500 record at 4-4, but Samardzija has a 4.67 ERA and hasn’t won a game in nearly a month (May 22).

The right-hander has five starts where he allowed at least five runs. In three of his last four starts, Samardzija has yielded at least 10 hits.

His worst outing was on June 2 where he allowed nine runs on 12 hits to the Texas Rangers.

Julio Teheran, Atlanta Braves

Fantasy owners selected Teheran right behind Samardzija in drafts before the season. Teheran had a 69.5 ADP according to Fantasy Pros, so he is nearly as disappointing as the White Sox right-hander.

Teheran also doesn’t have a poor record at 4-3, but his other numbers, 5.07 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 64 strikeouts in 81 2/3 innings, are horrible.

In his last outing, Teheran allowed six runs on 13 hits in 6 1/3 innings against the Red Sox. That, however, wasn’t as bad as the eight runs he gave up to the Dodgers at the end of May.

Rick Porcello, Boston Red Sox

Speaking of Red Sox, Porcello has posted some of the worst pitcher stats this season. Granted, he wasn’t a huge fantasy attraction before the season with a 228.0 ADP, but after signing a four-year, $82 million contract extension, one would think Porcello would have his ERA at least below 5.00.

That’s not the case as the 26-year-old has a 5.29 ERA, 1,30 WHIP and 4-7 record. He also has 65 strikeouts in 81 2/3 innings.

Anibal Sanchez, Detroit Tigers

Sanchez has been light years better in his last two and a half starts, throwing 20 2/3 straight shutout innings, than he was in April and May, but he still wasn’t able to avoid our list.

That’s because despite over 20 consecutive scoreless innings, Sanchez still has a 4.65 ERA. In particular, Sanchez has struggled to keep the ball in the yard. In a four-start span at the end of May and early June, Sanchez allowed seven home runs. The right-hander tossed up just four bombs last year.

He is also 5-7 with a 1.18 WHIP and 83 strikeouts in 91 innings this season.

Corey Kluber, Cleveland Indians

Like Sanchez, Kluber has been better lately. His ERA has dropped 1.50 in the last month and a half, and he is third in the league with 111 strikeouts.

But his eight losses, which are tied for second-most in the league, help him land on this list.

Although his ERA has gone up just two-hundredths of a point, Kluber has lost all three of his last three outings.

Kluber has a 3.54 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 96 2/3 innings this season.
