When Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber is on the mound, usually the wise move for fantasy owners is to stay away from the hitters on the other team. However, the heart of the Detroit Tigers has been quite successful against the right-hander.
In particular, Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera just simply mashes Kluber’s pitching. Cabrera is 20-for-35 (.571) in his career against the right-hander. He also has five home runs, 10 RBI, nine runs, two walks and a 1.652 OPS in 37 plate appearances versus Kluber.
Those are ridiculous numbers, and with the way Cabrera has been swinging the bat lately, he must be in daily fantasy lineups on Friday. The first baseman is slashing .415/.486/.646 in the last 17 games. The only thing that will hold back Cabrera is if he gets ejected again, which did happen on Wednesday.

Although no one else on the Tigers hits as well as Cabrera does against the 2014 Cy Young award winner, the Martinez “brothers” are still very good fantasy plays on Friday.
Tigers right fielder J.D. Martinez is 5-for-14 (.357) with one home run versus Kluber while designated hitter Victor Martinez is 9-for-25 (.360) with three home runs, five RBI and four runs against the right-hander. Both the Tigers right fielder and designated hitter have a 1.000 OPS or higher against Kluber too.
If fantasy owners are looking for stacks to use for daily fantasy baseball on Friday, Cabrera-Martinez-Martinez would be a great option.
It might be wise to add third baseman Nick Castellanos to the stack on Friday as well. He is 5-for-15 with a double in his career versus Kluber. Castellanos has also turned it on in the second half of the season, hitting .305 since Aug. 4.
Even center fielder Anthony Gose is a decent daily fantasy option. He is just 1-for-5 versus Kluber, but that one hit was a home run. To conclude, the Detroit Tigers present a plethora of daily fantasy options despite the fact Kluber is on the mound for the Indians.
