When We Last Met

A lot has changed for the Detroit Tigers since they last met the Chicago White Sox at the end of June. Detroit took that series, 2-1, with the fourth game getting rained out. The make up will be on Monday as the Tigers and White Sox will play a day-night doubleheader.

The season series between the two clubs is tied 7-7, but Detroit and Chicago will square off five more times in the last two weeks of the 2015 season. The White Sox tied the season series with a double header sweep on Monday.

Pitching Matchup

Left-hander Daniel Norris will start for the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday. The 22-year-old is 1-1 with a 4.68 ERA in five starts with the Tigers. In his last outing, he allowed just one solo home runs in 3 2/3 innings against the Twins. Norris was on a 50 pitch count in that game and probably will be once again.

Fellow lefty Jose Quintana will take the hill for Chicago. He is 9-10 with a 3.45 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 164 strikeouts in 190 1/3 innings this season. Although Quintana pitched well in his last start, allowing just one run on four hits and one walk to the Oakland Athletics, he has pitched horribly versus the Tigers this season. Quintana is 0-2 with a 6.95 ERA in 22 frames against Detroit in 2015.
