Detroit Tigers fans will be hoping for better results when the team takes the field on Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles. Mike Pelfrey will oppose Baltimore’s Ubaldo Jimenez.
Detroit Tigers players couldn’t defeat old friend Max Scherzer and the rest of the Washington Nationals on Wednesday, but will get another chance winning a series when the team takes on Baltimore.
The game, which will be a road contest for the Tigers, will see the debut of Detroit’s new-look lineup.
Justin Upton has shifted to center field, while the recently called-up Steven Moya will start in left field. Upton is batting sixth, while Moya will hit seventh. Catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia will bat eighth. The scary thing about this lineup is that it features eight players who could hit 30 home runs given a full season of at-bats.
Detroit will certainly have the opportunity to go deep, as Victor Martinez, Justin Upton, J.D. Martinez, Miguel Cabrera and Jose Iglesias all have hit home runs off Orioles starter Ubaldo Jimenez.
Here’s the full lineup, per the Detroit Tigers’ official Twitter account.
