Detroit Tigers vs Chicago White Sox Live Stream
Detroit Tigers players will look to rebound from Monday’s loss when the team once again matches up with the Chicago White Sox. Jordan Zimmermann will take the mound for Detroit.
Detroit Tigers fans probably weren’t thrilled with Monday’s result. The Tigers jumped out to a commanding lead against the struggling White Sox, only to see it slip away.
Monday’s contest would head to extra innings, the 12th inning to be exact, before the White Sox won.
However Tuesday is a new day, and Jordan Zimmermann is on the mound for the Tigers. The veteran right-hander will try for his team-leading ninth victory on Wednesday against Chicago starter Miguel Gonzalez.
While Gonzalez is off to a solid start this season with a 3.57 ERA in 40.1 innings, a number of Detroit hitters have found success off him. Shortstop Jose Iglesias has five hits, including a double, in 11 at-bats against the former Baltimore starter. Ian Kinsler also has five hits lifetime versus Gonzalez with five RBI, a double, a home run and a walk. Miguel Cabrera and Mike Aviles have also gone yard against Chicago’s starter.

- J.D. Martinez, RF

- Andrew Romine CF
As it stands, Victor Martinez and Cameron Maybin will get days off, while Nick Castellanos gets a break from fielding as he starts at designated hitter. The inclusion of both Aviles and Romine may seem odd, but Aviles has a home run against Gonzalez, while fellow utility player Romine owns two hits and a walk versus the right-hander.
