Detroit Tigers Live Stream vs Cleveland: TV Start Time, Lineups and More
Detroit Tigers players will try and rebound from Monday’s loss to Cleveland with a win on Tuesday. Justin Verlander will start and take the mound opposite rookie Mike Clevinger.
Detroit Tigers fans will be hoping for a bounce-back win on Tuesday night when the Tigers continue the team’s final home stand of the season.
With an offense that has excelled as of late, the Tigers will need some standout starting pitching to keep Cleveland’s offense at bay.
Luckily, Brad Ausmus can turn to one of baseball’s best in Justin Verlander. The 33-year-old, who is yet again a Cy Young contender, allowed just one hit in seven shutout innings against Cleveland the last time he faced the team.
Verlander will be backed by an offense that has posted some standout numbers over the last week.
Successful Offense
Despite losing three in a row, a number of key Detroit hitters are thriving at the plate. Ian Kinsler is kitting a robust .611 over the past week, while Victor Martinez’ batting average over the same span is .444.

Justin Upton (.357), Cameron Maybin (.414) and Jose Iglesias (.292) have also posted encouraging numbers at the dish in the last week.
Victor Martinez and Upton have combined for 15 RBI, 12 runs scored and six home runs in just 55 combined plate appearances over the past week.
Also leading the way is Maybin, who has turned his last 12 hits and two walks into 10 runs scored. The table setter also chipped in with five RBI, a pair of triples, a home run and a double.
These are obviously small sample sizes, but when combined with the fact that Verlander is pitching on Tuesday, it gives Detroit an excellent chance to bounce back.
