Detroit Tigers: Pitching Prospects Stats So Far in Spring Training
By Ben Rosener

Myles Jaye
Age: 25
Position: Starting Pitcher
A candidate to replace Anibal Sanchez or Mike Pelfrey as a rotation depth piece, Jaye started Detroit’s exhibition win over Florida Southern.
Since that outing, he’s been hit somewhat hard in two appearances, allowing five hits, five runs, two walks and a pair of home runs over the course of three innings.
Victor Alcantara
Age: 23
Position: Relief Pitcher
The player acquired from the Angels for Cameron Maybin, Victor Alcantara has so far logged three innings for Detroit this spring.
In said work, the hard-throwing reliever has punched out three while surrendering just two hits, two runs and a walk.
If he can find success in Grapefruit League play, as well as in the upper minors early in the season, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Alcantara pitching out of the Detroit Tigers bullpen in 2017.
Jairo Labourt
Age: 23
Position: Relief Pitcher
A converted starter, Jairo Labourt is probably a few years away from making his Major League debut.
The 23-year-old wrapped up 2016 with Advanced-A Lakeland, and has so far pitched in two contests for Detroit.
