Detroit Tigers Live Stream: Game Eight vs Minnesota Twins 4/12/2017
Detroit Tigers baseball is back on Wednesday. The team continues the 2017 regular season as the Tigers take on Minnesota in Detroit’s first home stand of the season. Here’s what you need to know to watch.
Detroit Tigers players will look for another win on Wednesday after claiming Tuesday’s series opener against Minnesota with a 2-1 victory.
Matt Boyd was superb in the win, allowing just two walks and a hit in six scoreless frames. The former Toronto Blue Jays farmhand also added six punch outs on the day.
Overall, it was an encouraging day for the pitching staff, as Shane Greene, Kyle Ryan and Justin Wilson all kept the Twins off the board in forming a bridge to Francisco Rodriguez.
Despite managing just four hits on offense, Detroit came away with just enough for the win.
Both of the team’s runs came on a two-run home run by James McCann in the fifth inning of Minnesota starter Hector Santiago.
The blast plated Justin Upton and gave the Tigers a lead which they wouldn’t surrender.
Additionally, the victory gave Detroit four early wins at home. The Tigers will look to continue their winning ways at Comerica Park on Wednesday.
