Detroit Tigers baseball is back on Thursday. The team continues the 2017 regular season against the Tampa Bay Rays on the road. Here’s what you need to know to watch the game.
Detroit Tigers players will look to rebound on Thursday after dropping the first two games of a three-game set in Tampa Bay.
The second loss game came in unusual fashion.
After a back-and-forth game, the Rays entered the bottom of the ninth inning down one against Detroit closer Francisco Rodriguez.
Rodriguez loaded the bases before striking out Steven Souza Jr.
Following the punch out, the veteran appeared to get a game-ending double play. However, Jose Iglesias slipped after tagging second and threw wide of first before colliding with Brad Miller.
The Rays scored two runs on the play to come away with an 8-7 win.
Detroit will be seeking to bounce back and salvage the series with a win.
