Detroit Tigers baseball is back on Saturday. The team continue the 2017 regular season on the road against the Boston Red Sox. Here’s what you need to know to watch the game.
Detroit Tigers players will look to rebound on Saturday following a series-opening loss to the Boston Red Sox.
The Tigers managed to string together 11 hits, and took a 3-2 lead into the eighth inning, however Boston hung on for the win.
Despite the road loss, Detroit did receive some positive contributions.
Jordan Zimmermann limited the Red Sox to six hits, three walks and two runs in six frames of work. He struck out three over the same period.
Elsewhere, Nicholas Castellanos and Mikie Mahtook homered.
Detroit also got multi-hit efforts from J.D. Martinez, Jose Iglesias and Victor Martinez.
The team’s designated hitter went two-for-two with a runs scored and a pair of walks.
