Detroit Tigers players will look to keep building momentum on Wednesday.
The team is in search of a fifth-straight victory as they take on starter Jason Hammel and the Kansas City Royals.
On Tuesday, Detroit took the second game of the series, claiming a 9-3 victory.
After Matt Boyd allowed three runs in the first inning, the Tigers bounced back with five runs of their own in the second. They tacked on one in the fifth, two in the seventh and another in the eighth.
Nicholas Castellanos led the way for the Tigers with five RBI, four hits, two home runs and two runs scored.
Five different Detroit batters turned in multi-hit games as the offense accounted for 16 total hits.

The Tigers will face starter Jason Hammel on Wednesday, with an eye towards keeping the winning streak going.
Hammel has pitched to a 5.02 ERA, a 4.53 FIP and a 1.475 WHIP in 100.1 frames for the Royals. It is his first year in the American League Central after spending the last two seasons with the Chicago Cubs.
Justin Upton, Victor Martinez, Alex Avila and Ian Kinsler all have home runs against Hammel. Miguel Cabrera is six-for-14 with three walks, two doubles and an RBI against the former Rays pitcher.
