Detroit Tigers baseball returns Wednesday as the team faces the Colorado Rockies on the road. Here’s what you need to know to watch the series finale.

Detroit Tigers players will look to win the team’s latest series against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday.

After taking the first game of the three-game set on Monday, Detroit lost on Tuesday against the National League West franchise.

Michael Fulmer got the start for the Tigers. The reigning American League Rookie of the Year allowed eight hits, five earned runs, a walk and a home run in 6.1 innings.

He did strike out three, but was unable to pitch Detroit to the win.

Continuing with Detroit’s pitching staff, Daniel Stumpf faced one batter, recording an out in the process.

The southpaw was followed by Warwick Saupold, who allowed Colorado to put the game out of reach via a three-run home run to Nolan Arenado.

Jeff Ferrell threw a scoreless inning afterwards, but it mattered little as Detroit couldn’t claw their way back.

Offensively, Mikie Mahtook led the way with a pair of hits, RBI and runs scored. The outfielder took German Marquez yard in the seventh to tie things up at the time.

Elsewhere, John Hicks registered a pair of hits as the Tigers managed seven hits, three runs scored, three RBI and a walk.
