Detroit Tigers baseball returns on Saturday as the team continues the 2017 regular season at home against Cleveland. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the game.

Detroit Tigers players will look to rebound on Saturday following a double-header sweep at the hands of Cleveland on Friday.

The first game of the double header certainly didn’t lack in quality, as Matthew Boyd fired off five innings of one-run ball.

Boyd allowed just five hits and two walks on the day, striking out five.

Offensively, both Jose Iglesias and James McCann notched three-hit games, while Nicholas Castellanos and Alex Presley tallied two hits apiece.

Reliever Joe Jimenez also was a positive, working around two hits to throw a scoreless seventh.

Despite 12 hits, Detroit wasn’t able to overcome Cleveland, who held on for a 3-2 win.

While the first game was close, the second was anything but that.

Cleveland jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after four innings and didn’t look back en route to a 10-0 victory.

Detroit got a multi-hit game out of Andrew Romine, but that was about it as the team was out-hit 15-7.

Despite allowing 10 runs, there were some definite positives on the pitching side of things.

Zac Reininger threw a scoreless frame, striking out two batters and allowing a hit on 17 pitches. Meanwhile, left-hander Jairo Labourt made his Major League debut and needed just 14 pitches in a scoreless frame of his own.
