The Detroit Tigers first game of spring training is today as the team goes against Florida Southern. The Tigers matchup against Florida Southern is one of the longest-running matchups currently in spring training.

Alex Wilson is set to start on the mound as he auditions for a chance to be in the starting rotation. Gardy has also released his starting lineup this spring with Daniel Norris and Mike Fiers both getting opportunities on the mound.
Gardenhire is also giving LHP Ryan Carpenter a chance to showcase his skills as a starter. The Detroit Tigers have plenty of pitching prospects, and they hope to lead the way through the rebuild writes Evan Woodbery.
