The Detroit Tigers are expected to have a lackluster trade deadline this season. They are expected to be sellers this year, however injuries and lackluster performances will probably hinder any blockbuster trades.

First though, some midseason musings from Detroit Tigers broadcaster Dan Dickerson. The first half has been an interesting one, to say the least, for Tigers fans. With the trade deadline approaching, one Tigers fan tries to find some position players which the team can trade for. The Tigers have lacked in positional player depth this season.

The trade deadline is always a hot spot for the rumor mill. The Tigers have even openly expressed being sellers at the deadline. And according to one report the Detroit Tigers are fielding offers for both Michael Fulmer and Nicholas Castellanos.

Over at Bless You Boys,  Brandon Day analyzed Matt Manning’s performance for Team USA. He also thought that Dawel Lugo held his own for Team World. Lugo hasn’t exactly been stellar this year for the Mud Hens.

Over at the Athletic, Emily Waldon is counting down the Tigers top twenty prospects mid-way through the season. Her first article features prospects ranked 11-20. Also at the Athletic, Jordan Horrobin looks at some interesting numbers from the team.

The Detroit Tigers are celebrating the 1968 World Series Championship all season long. Although, ex-Tiger Jim Rooker isn’t happy about ’68 according to MLive.com. Rooker spent one game in relief for the Tigers in ’68 before being sent down to the minors. Unfortunately, he didn’t get at ring with the Tigers.

Finally, the MLB All-Star game is tonight. It’s slated to start at 7:30 PM. Last night Bryce Harper took home the Home Run Derby out lasting the Cubs’ Kyle Schwarber. The Derby was a thrill to watch, to say the least.
