Circling back to the last slide with the note about winning, the Detroit Tigers should be expected to hear that word much more with the team’s new president of baseball operations. Scott Harris has proven that he can build winning teams.

While he’s done it with his mentors, this will be his chance to show this wealth of knowledge and build a winning team in Detroit. With so much support and many reasons to like him, the Tigers have to be excited about what Harris will do for the organization.

The third reason to be excited is that Harris knows how to win, and he knows what he needs to do to build a winning ball club. That being said, the Tigers may see some personnel changes, some roster moves, and overall changes, but Harris will do what he needs to do to get this team moving in the right direction.

Harris has the experience. He’s been a part of trades, the draft process, and roster moves and also has dabbled with research projects and player development. With such a well-rounded base of knowledge and the experience of good mentors, he knows what he needs to do to produce a winner.
