Playoff baseball has returned to the Motor City. The Tigers are hot off of a late-inning surge against the Guardians in Game 2 of the ALDS, with Kerry Carpenter smashing a three-run homer off of Emmanuel Clase, who only gave up two home runs during the regular season and had never given up one on his slider before Carpenter struck.

It came after an almost perfect showing for Tarik Skubal, who pitched seven innings and only gave up three hits while fanning eight batters. Former Tiger Matthew Boyd and Cleveland's bullpen put up a good fight for the Guardians, but all it took for the Tigers to head back to Detroit with a win to even up the series was one swing of Carpenter's bat.

If fans weren't already excited enough, the Tigers released a hype video on the morning of Game 3, narrated by Jason Benetti, and it'll give you chills.

Tigers release electric hype video as playoff baseball returns to Detroit for the first time since 2014

Sadly, Benetti won't be calling any games during this playoff run, but he's finding ways to get involved to remain a fixture with Tigers fans.

The Tigers are calling on rookie Keider Montero, who was left off the roster in the Wild Card round, for his first postseason start in ALDS Game 3. It's undeniable that Skubal's presence on the mound just seems to elevate them to another level, but they proved that they can still win postseason games without him against the Houston Astros, and they'll have to do it again on Wednesday to gain the edge in the series and hopefully move on to the ALCS in front of the home crowd.

These Tigers have an incredible amount of fight in them, probably more so than any of the remaining AL postseason teams. In the hype video, Benetti reminded fans about great October moments from Tigers greats Al Kaline, Kirk Gibson, Justin Verlander, Miguel Cabrera, and Magglio Ordóñez. Skubal and Carpenter have already placed great bids to get their names onto that list, and hopefully a few more Tigers will tack on a few more.

Here we go, Detroit.
