Miguel Cabrera was honored by the Milwaukee Brewers
The Miguel Cabrera farewell tour hit Milwaukee today as the Detroit Tigers play their final game at American Family Field this season. It is also Miguel Cabrera's final game in Milwaukee for his career. To celebrate, the Brewers honored him in a way only they can: with a cheesehead.
Miggy also received a jacket and a $5,000 donation to his charity from the Brewers' organization. This is easily the best gift Miggy has received from a team so far. It's far better than what the Orioles gave him this past weekend, which was a brick. A literal brick.
Overall, the Miggy farewell tour has been kind of lame so far. The Mariano Rivera, Derek Jeter, and David Ortiz farewell tours were all better than this. There's still a long way to go this season, but these teams need to step up their game.
