Headed to Comerica Park this afternoon for Game 3 of the ALDS between the Detroit Tigers and the Seattle Mariners? Be sure to wear your orange.

The Tigers issued a call for an "orange out" all postseason long, asking the home fans to wear orange to the ballpark beginning with Games 3 and 4 of the series against the Mariners this week. Ticketed fans will also receive a postseason rally towel upon entry into the park (which had better be orange – otherwise, that's just bad marketing).

Postseason baseball officially returns to Detroit today at 4:08 p.m. ET, with Jack Flaherty on the mound for the home team – and, hopefully, a sea of orange surrounding him.

Everyone saw how electrifying last year's crowd was for their two home games against the Cleveland Guardians in October. It's time to replicate that energy for Flaherty and Casey Mize.

Tigers outfielder Riley Greene nominated for Hank Aaron Award

Tigers outfielder Riley Greene was named by MLB as one of the American League nominees for the Hank Aaron Award, presented to the best offensive player in each league during the regular season.

Greene enjoyed his first 30-homer, 100-RBI season in 2025, but which also happened to be the first by a Tiger since 2016. He slashed .258/.313/.493, setting new career highs in hits (155), home runs (36), RBI (111) and runs scored (84), despite being the only AL hitter to exceed more than 200 strikeouts this season.

The winners of the Hank Aaron Award are determined by votes from a panel of Hall of Famers as well as baseball fans. The voting window is now open and runs through Sunday at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Tigers' Comerica Park to be renamed in new bank deal

Comerica Park, home of the Tigers for 26 years, may soon have a new name after Fifth Third Bancorp announced Monday that it will acquire Comerica Inc. in a $10.9 billion merger.

The Tigers' naming rights agreement with Comerica runs through 2034, but with the merger expected to close in the first quarter of 2026, a rebranding of the stadium now appears likely. However, according to Comerica CEO Curt Farmer, it won't happen in 2026.

Whenever the rebrand does occur, the home of the Tigers could soon share the name of their Triple-A affiliate's Toledo home, Fifth Third Field. That shouldn't be confusing at all.

Anyway, go Tigers.
