Detroit Tigers baseball returns on Monday as the team continues the 2017 regular season on the road against the New York Yankees. Here’s what you need to know to watch.

Detroit Tigers players will look to wrap up July with a win on Monday as the team travels to New York to take on the Yankees.

The team will look build a modest three-game winning streak after beating the Houston Astros 13-1 on Sunday.

Justin Verlander allowed just five hits and three walks in six innings, striking out six in the process.

Daniel Stumpf, Alex Wilson and Drew VerHagen came in the rest of the way, allowing just two hits and a run combined.

Offensively, Detroit gave the pitching staff more than enough run support with 13 runs, including a five-run seventh inning.

Justin Upton led the way with six RBI, four hits and a pair of runs scored. James McCann plated three, while Miguel Cabrera, Dixon Machado, Mikie Mahtook and Jose Iglesias also drove in a run.

Additionally, Mahtook, Upton, McCann, Andrew Romine and Iglesias scored twice.
