Here at The Corner, we round up Detroit Tigers news and rumors around the Tigers blogosphere so that you don’t spend hours surfing the web searching.

Detroit Tigers pitcher Michael Fulmer is still dealing with some elbow soreness. As a result Alex Wilson will get the start today against the Nationals. Fulmer’s next start has been pushed back two days.

The Free Press also has all the info you need for following today’s game. You can read that here.

The Tigers might be rebuilding for the foreseeable future. But Anthony Fenech, of the Detroit Free Press, wonders what a future roster might look like if the Tigers are contenders. SB Nation’s Bless You Boys also wonders if a rebuild is actually like a giant bouncy house of horrors.

Tigers slugger Nicholas Castellanos is looking to continue on the success he had last Septemeber as he looks to play outfield full time. Tigers pitcher Travis Wood tore his ACL, which puts one less player in the starting rotation competition.

The team also made their first round of cuts for spring training. In an unsurprising move they reassinged three prospects to minor-leauge camp. The battle for the fifth spot in the starting rotation isn’t the only battle currently going on. There’s also a battle for backup catcher and our own Rob Lowe broke down how that might play out.

Next: Prospects entering make or break seasons

The Tigers first year pitching coach, Chris Bosio is already having a positive impact on players. The results have shown themselves already in the first week of spring training. When the Tigers signed Fransico Liariano to a one-year deal, they sent Jairo Labourt to waivers. The Reds claimed Labourt off of waivers earlier this week. BYB thinks the team lost Labourt for no good reason.  His 4.5 BB/9 being a step in the right direction might have played a part in that.

Emily Waldon, of The Athletic, has another great piece on Tigers pitching prospects. If you haven’t subscribed to The Athletic, its well worth it. Former Detroit Tigers Justin Verlander recently showed off his replica of Gone in 60 Seconds infamous Eleanor mustang.
