Here at The Corner, we round up Detroit Tigers news and rumors around the Tigers blogosphere so that you don’t spend hours surfing the web searching.

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Jordan Zimmerman is scheduled to make a rehab start for Triple-A Toledo according to the Detroit Free Press. Miguel Cabrera also ran on the field for a second straight day before the Tigers game against the White Sox. Per the Free Press, Miggy doesn’t need to make a rehab start after coming off of the disabled list.

According to ESPN Miggy could be back from the DL “soon”. Although the exact date or timeframe is still up in the air. Jeimer Candelario has returned from the disabled list and the Tigers sent Mikie Mahtook back to Toledo as a result.

The Tigers notched a victory over the White Sox as Nicholas Castellanos and company beat up on former Tiger Bruce Rondon. Castellanos also chased a foul ball into the stands, knocking over a fan’s beer in the process. After the great play, he was rewarded with a high-five from the fan.
