Detroit Tigers 2023 MLB Draft Board

Detroit Tigers fans should bookmark this article as it will be updated throughout the spring and summer leading up to the 2023 MLB Draft. This is the one-stop shop for 2023 MLB Draft Coverage on the MCB site.

This will serve as the Detroit Tigers' very own edition of the draft board, meaning we're not going to go 100 prospects or 200 prospects deep with players that will never end up in Detroit, but rather a draft board of players we provide reports on, as well as, players the Tigers faithful should be on the lookout for Detroit to select this summer.

The Detroit Tigers have the third overall in the 2023 MLB Draft and will select again near the end of Day 1 of the event, during the Competitive Balance Round A at pick no. 37, giving them two big chances to add top-tier talents. This will be the first draft under Scott Harris and his new regime. Newly hired scouting director Mark Conner has a big task at hand with his team of scouts and front-office executives that will try to piece together a good crop of talent to add to the farm system.

The Tigers need to hit big in this year's draft, finding ways to maximize their draft picks on players who will provide value and have big league upside. Whether they stick in Detroit or become capital to use in trades, they need an influx of talent this year.

As is the case every year, there are a ton of talented ballplayers out there to choose from, but which ones stand out the most? For that, we're going to create the Tigers' big board of players to consider, not just at third overall or at 37th overall, but players they may be able to grab later on and find value in. Without further adieu, let's dive into it!

Detroit Tigers 2023 Draft Board (List)

Before jumping right into the list, these are all players that are near the Top 10 of most draft boards. Beyond the Top 10 are players that we have covered here on MCB as part of our draft coverage and are players that we think the Tigers consider.

The Top 10 names below are true to a Top 10 ranking. After the Top 10, it is players who we have written about from other draft content. They are players who the Tigers should have on their draft board whether its for pick no.3, no. 37, or picks beyond the first few rounds.

Essentially, Alex Mooney and Myles Naylor are listed below in what would be first-round draft spots, but that does not mean they are players that should be taken there. This is a Tigers-oriented draft board with players that the Tigers need to be watching out for.
